Seminar: Women's Running Talk (Part II - Running & Pregnancy)

October 4th, 2019
7:00 PM-9:00 PM

Fleet Feet Seattle
911 E Pine St, Seattle, WA 98122

We will be discussing running and pregnancy (during and after), and sports bra fit, including the opportunity to have a personalized fitting by the experts at Fleet Feet.

You could say Kate Accardo Impastato knows a little something about running while being pregnant. She is a doctor at the University of Washington, was on the track and field team at LSU, raced cross country with the Seattle Running Club, and has had two pregnancies, running during both of them. She will be sharing her knowledge and experiences as well as answering questions.

Having coached a woman through two marathons during her pregnancy and working with others after giving birth, I understand there is a great difference from person to person in how their bodies respond to the changes that come from being pregnant and giving birth and will be talking about some important things to keep in mind throughout this exciting and also complex time.

Speaking of changing support needs…last, but not least, the Fleet Feet crew will educate you on how to find the best, most supportive sports bra for you, including providing individual fittings so you can feel comfortable and secure on your next run.

This seminar is extremely valuable for those who are pregnant, considering becoming pregnant in the future, or who have recently given birth, as well as those who coach women throughout their pregnancy.

This is the second of a series of seminars focusing on important women’s topics.
